Burglaries

The Chesterfield Police recommends that you lock your home when you leave for the day and lock your cars when they are parked in your driveways.

If you see ANY suspicious activity in your neighborhood, Please call 911 or Cheshire County Dispatch at 603-355-2000.

Some of the questions that the Dispatchers will ask are:

  • What is your name and address?
  • What is the suspicious activity?
  • What does the person look like?
  • What is the person wearing?
  • Where is that person now?
  • Is there a car involved?
  • What does the car look like?
  • What color is the car?
  • Are there any distinguishing marks on the car, such as is there a head light or taillight out, is it missing a hubcap, are there dents on the car, is there a roof rack or ski rack on the top of a car. If it is a truck is there a cap over the bed of the truck.
  • Has the vehicle left and if so, in which direction did they go?

Please do not hesitate to call the police. This is what we are here for. In many instances, our cases are solved because citizens get involved in their community and call us when they see suspicious activity.
